The UKanTeach certificate program is designed to be completed along with an approved BS or BA degree to fulfill the requirements necessary for the UKanTeach Certificate in your desired area of licensure: mathematics, biology, chemistry, earth and space science, or physics. The program is also designed to fulfill the course requirements necessary to gain state licensure eligibility in the above mentioned areas of licensure to become a secondary teacher in Kansas, but completion of the program does not guarantee the student’s licensure.
The 'Certificate Plan Sheet' shows the UKanTeach courses required for licensure on the top section and then on the bottom you can view which courses in your licensure area to be eligible for licensure. Note that students will be required to complete an approved BS or BA degree.
Students in Undergraduate Biology or Geology are strongly recommending to pursue one of the degrees listed below.
