UKanTeach Receives 2.4 Million Dollar Grant

The University of Kansas announced a multi-million dollar grant from The National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) for the UKanTeach Program.  UKanTeach is a new, collaborative program of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Education that provides students the opportunity to earn a degree in mathematics or science, as well as a teaching license, in four years.  The program is modeled after UTeach, a highly successful math and science teacher preparation program at the University of Texas at Austin, and will double the number of KU math and science teachers graduating each year.
